| tomorrow i'm going to go to little rock and find a job for the summer. i'm going to get an apartment eventually, but i might have to surf on some people's couches til then. i have to get out of brinkley and try something different this summer...at least i'll get to see my sexy lady more...i'll probably be practicing all week because the running back plays w/coach at juanita's at 9:30 on friday night. i want you there. |

| me and alan practiced with my pedal steel for the first time last night. alan had a new song that he kind of wrote for pedal steel so i hooked up a volume pedal to it for the first time and we recorded it and it's called spitting and speaking ...kind of our first take on the song but i think it works. right now the plan is to play at thrio's in arkadelphia next wednesday (may 3rd) with the help of john raines and andrew shepherd. show starts at 8:30... |

| i juuust purchased a sho-bud maverick pedal steel on ebay i hear pedal steel is freakin hard to learn, but it will be cool cause i'll be one of like ten people in arkansas (if that many) who can play it. i also finally bought an acoustic guitar that matches my mandolin. after dabbling in the guitar for years i figured it's time i owned one.  tonight was another one of those nights where i laid awake in my bed and couldn't sleep because i was so excited about all the new possibilities in my life... |
